Malcolm Trusler FRICS – Director and Principal
Consultant

Malcolm is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors with over 43 years experience in the
construction industry, both in the UK and internationally.

Malcolm currently provides contractual, commercial and strategic consultancy to major UK construction organisations. Prior to this he was Chief Quantity Surveyor for John Laing Plc and a Main Board Director of John Laing Construction Ltd, responsible for about 500 professional staff, having been with Laing for 26 years.

He has wide experience in contractual and commercial resolution of disputes relating to all types of construction worldwide, including those involving arbitration and litigation. He has also had considerable involvement in the settlement of substantial insurance-related claims, and in procurement issues.

He is currently involved in providing advice and the preparation of a number of substantial adjudication referrals embracing complex liability and quantum issues.
